This policy explains what information HowToHurdle.com (“HowToHurdle,” “we”) collects and how it’s used.
Information you give us
- Email signup (Free Hurdle Starter Pack): your email address and, optionally, your first name. Signups are processed by our email provider, AWeber, which stores your subscription and sends our emails. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
- Contact form: your name, email address and message. These are sent to the site owner by email so we can reply, and aren’t used for marketing.
Information collected automatically
- Server and security logs: like most websites, our hosting provider and our content delivery and security provider (Cloudflare) process technical information such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, to deliver and protect the site.
- Analytics: if analytics is enabled on this site, we use it to understand which pages and tools are useful, through aggregated usage information such as pages viewed, tool use and link clicks. We don’t use analytics to identify individual visitors.
- Affiliate links: when you click an Amazon link, Amazon may set cookies to attribute purchases. See Amazon’s privacy notice for how Amazon handles your information.
How information is used
- To send the Starter Pack and the emails you signed up for
- To reply to messages
- To maintain, secure and improve the site
We don’t sell your personal information.
Children
HowToHurdle’s content is educational and suitable for young athletes, but email signups and the contact form are intended for parents, coaches and athletes 13 or older. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from emails at any time with the link in any email
- Ask us to access or delete information you’ve sent through the contact form by contacting us
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings
